(via Inside the Almost 100% Successful 1985 Late Night with David Letterman Book | Splitsider)
When I was a kid, we barely had tv. we didn’t have cable and lived in between NYC and Philly. I went to a school about 45 minutes away and had no friends that lived near me. The house was constant warfare and this book was one of my few solaces. This, Mad Magazine from the early 80s and Woody Allen movies on tapes. I still find myself stealing jokes from this book I read it so much. Honestly, this book informed me more than any other as a kid. Until I discovered Douglas Adams. Then virginity informed me more than ever.
